About Susan Klement
My favorite quote to start each day:
“You build trust with others each time you choose integrity over image; truth over convenience and honor over personal gain”.
I was born and raised in Hamilton, and have many happy childhood memories of the Dundurn neighborhood. I graduated from McMaster University and commuted daily to Oakville for over 20 years in my career at Ford Motor Company as Payroll coordinator for the hourly workers. I currently live with my husband in Haldimand County, on a farm with our pets and horses, and am part of the Re/Max Escarpment office in Hamilton.
I love challenges, both mental and physical. In the past I successfully showed my own horses in Western Performance classes, earned a Black Belt in karate and hiked across England on the Alfred Wainwright Trail. Currently I enjoy kayaking, hiking and especially biking on all the fantastic trails in Hamilton, Glanbrook and Haldimand.
I began Real Estate as a second career in 2009 and enjoy so many aspects of it. True to my character the challenge of negotiation, finding that “perfect affordable property” for buyer clients, or marketing to obtain the highest price for my Sellers, keeps me constantly engaged. I can honestly say I get great joy from 3 things I do as a realtor: Helping people, solving problems, and taking pride in a “job well done”. I know my success in Real Estate is based on a great reputation, with clients remembering me as someone who cared about them, and helped them achieve their real estate goals.
Know me a little better by reading about what my clients had to say after working with me:
Susan, just wanted to say thanks for taking on the sale of my Dad’s home. Being a realtor previously, I really put you through the wringer before giving you the listing. You were always willing to meet with me, you were knowledgeable about the market and you gave great advice about the renovations. My sister and I were so pleased with the price we got for the house and that we had another offer in the wings in case the first one didn’t work out. I was impressed. - Willread more
Don’t know where to start. You helped me say NO to a house that I loved, but would have been a big mistake and would have been a nightmare financially. Like you said, there is always another house and even though I put the search “on hold”, you helped me avoid a real problem. You never made me feel pressured and I really felt that you cared about ME and not just making a sale. I appreciated that Susan, and will recommend you to all my family and friends. - Toddread more
Thanks so much for helping us find the best home ever! You worked hard yet were always so cheerful and helpful. You fought for us in the negotiation and always thought about what would protect our interests. We didn’t think about half the stuff you ended up teaching us about, and you even impressed our very protective parents – who don’t trust realtors. We are so glad we met you. - Chris and Carolynread more
I just wanted to thank you for helping me find my first real place (school rentals don’t count!). I am sure I asked several hundred questions of you, several times over, but you handled them all with a smile. Your positive outlook and sincerity make the process so much easier. Any first time buyers would be lucky to have you in their corner. Wishing you success and all the best - Patriciaread more
